Kerala Samajam (R), Bangalore, established in 1940, is the first and foremost socio-cultural organization of Keralites in Bangalore, representing over 12 lakh Malayalees in the city. It operates through 10 zone committees—Ulsoor, Cantonment, East, City, Malleswaram, Magadi Road, Peenya, Whitefield, and Krishnarajapuram—supported by an active Youth Wing and Ladies Wing.

Samajam has made significant contributions to education and social services. Through the KNE Trust (formed in 1966), it runs 11 educational institutions across 5 campuses, educating around 4000 students with 250 staff. Scholarships and fee concessions support meritorious and underprivileged students.

Social initiatives include free medical, eye, and blood donation camps, and educational sponsorships covering fees, books, and uniforms. It conducts Kannada and Malayalam classes and seminars on communal harmony and other topics.

A Civil Services Academy at the Indiranagar campus has helped 69 students qualify in the last 4 years (26 last year alone). Samajam also runs two ambulance services (East and Peenya Zones) and launched a dialysis unit at Specialist Hospital, Kammanahalli, completing 4000+ dialysis sessions in two years.

Cultural activities include Youth Festivals, Onam celebrations, Mohiniyattam Mahotsavam, Women’s Day, job fairs, and competitions in painting, Pookkalam, and Thiruvathira.

Three new dialysis centers are starting soon: one at Mathru Hospital (Cantonment & Magadi Road Zones), one at Lakshmi Hospital (KR Puram Zone), and one at Sujatha Hospital (Ulsoor Zone), each with two machines. Samajam is also working to launch a home-based Pain & Palliative care service.
